2006 August - Cosmos Progressive Dinner

What a time we had Thursday, August 03rd in downtown Fort Myers !!! .. We gathered at The French Connection first to ‘wet our whistle’ and enjoy the appetizers. It took a little while for our group to get there .. some were lost .. some were ‘fashionably late’ .. and some had a meeting beforehand .. but we all got there !!

We walked from there to Harold’s on Bay Street for our salad and entrée and once again the meal was great. We hear that those of us who ate steak really missed out on a wonderful fish dinner.

After dinner we adjourned to Spirits of Bacchus for a little after dinner toddy. We weren’t able to enjoy this for long, however, because the Fire Alarm went off. After a few minutes we asked what happened. Our Bartender said he had no idea why the Alarm was ringing unless one of us had pulled it. We assured him we were much too “mature” to do such a prank. ( We found out later that the building next door is also on the same Alarm and that’s how it was triggered. ) After ten minutes of dancing to the Alarm, we decided to try the Outside Patio.

Slowly our group dwindled down to the ‘hardcore four’ who decided to check out the new Wine Bar .. aptly named the Bar Association.

Once again we had a fantastic night with great friends .. and low and behold, the rains held off !!!!!
