On Saturday, December 11th, the Wheelhouse Dining Room was magically transformed into a Fantasy Winter Wonderland for the Snowflake Ball. With our Club gaily decorated for the Holidays, our members also showed up in all their holiday finery to dine and dance the evening away.

While everyone greeted friends and fellow members over cocktails, we all enjoyed the lovely passed hors d'oeuvres and an impressive ice sculpture which accompanied the peeled shrimp cocktail and imported cheese displays. Our staff truly outdid themselves in the preparation and presentation of a superb dinner and the service was outstanding through out the entire evening. We would like to thank each and everyone of them for such a delightful and enjoyable evening.

A huge thank you goes to Charlene Borys for the enchanting table decorations along with the assistance of Carol Geib and the rest of our Fleet-In "elves" who arrived to put the finishing touches on everything. We would also like to Lars Larsen for all great photos he took during the event.

On a final note, the dance floor was packed all evening and we think everyone thoroughly enjoyed the sounds of Andre and Solti as we were treated to a very versatile and enjoyable repertoire of music from a most talented musician and a wonderful vocalist. In all, it was a memorable evening and wonderful way to celebrate the holiday season!
