A TOUCH of CLASS & SWAMP GRASS
|
After
arriving
at
Marco
Island
Yacht
Club
the
attendees
gathered
poolside
at
the
proper
hour
for
high
tea
(aka
tea
to
get
you
high)
and
biscuits.
All
quickly
became
cheery…hmm?
Dinner
was
tastefully
served
on
the
outside
patio
of
MIYC
overlooking
the
intra
coastal
waterway.
It
was
a
lovely
evening
but
it
made
us
appreciate
our
RPYC
staff
and
vista
views.
In
the
morning
the
trolley
toured
our
group
through
the
sights
of
Marco
Island.
Especially
interesting
was
the
51
foot
shell
Indian
hills
built
by
the
women.
In
the
evening
“Puttin
on
the
Glitz
Poolside
Soiree”
including
haute
cuisine
was
hosted
by
Shirley
Hatter
in
her
fashionable
chiffon
tea
dress
with
pink
boa..
Her
co
host
Captain
Ed
was
attired
in
his
best
tuxedo
(tee
shirt).
Many
of
the
guests
sparkled
and
especially
noteworthy
were
Gail
West’s
matching
plastic
heart
jewelry
set.
Also
glittering
were
Pam
and
Chester
Blackford.
In
the

83
kept
the
interestin
crowd
drinkin,
dancin
and
laughin.
Sassy
(Sonya
&
Jack
Lomano’s
Labrador)
got
a
bit
much
of
hooch
and
floor
scraps
for
a
ruff
ride
in
the
morn.
On
da
way
to
Little
Bar
for
supper
we’s
all

at
Julie
&
Ken
Kelly’s
swamp
grass
digs
for
a
bit
of
hooch.;
Mary
Ann
&
Jim
Merrill
helped
dem

us.
As
in
every
mornin
Capn
Ed
was
busy
wid
questions
of
when
da
tide
high
and
wen
do
we
skidaddle.
On
da
way
to
Everglades
City
ruf
seas
throwed
da
birds
on
da
floor
of
Barb
&
Jim
Pancoast
boat
and
skinny
water
frayed
some
nerves,
but
all
got
dare
just
fine.
Had
some
mighty
fine
supper
at
da
Rod
&
Gun;
oh
and
a
bit
of
firewater.

Hughes,
Chris
&
Len
Burger,
Donna
&

Reilly
hit
Speedy

No
gators
was
seen
just
a
high
speed,
hair
rasin
thrill
ride
of
speed,
swirls,
and
twirls.
The
fright
of
it
!
After
Cap’n
