Cape Harbor Cruise
|
On Friday's arrival all were welcomed with a signature drink prepared by Tollie--Rumrunners with a warning to not drink near an open flame. The afternoon was spent shopping, having lunch at The Joint or Pignolis, swimming at the pool, ice cream treats at Run Agrounds, and talking under the tent. There were wonderful appetizers during the cocktail hour and then the group went to Rumrunners for a great dinner. (Charlie & Mar Guveiyian, Jim & Mary Anne Merrill, Phil & Anne Johnston, and Mary Betz also joined the group for dinner.) The evening ended with beautiful fireworks over the marina.
Saturday morning started out with a bountiful hot breakfast at the clubhouse with Jim McKinley's famous eggs and Liz Zych's homemade waffles (so yummy!). The day was spent with games, swimming, shopping at the Cape Harbour Farmers' Market, and socializing. Awards were given for Wii Bowling: Len Zych (highest male score), Pat Juda (highest female score); Mah Jongg: Barb Greco (most games won); Water Balloon Toss: Chris Burger and Liz Zych; Pool Golf Hole-In-One: Lindsey Scheinert and Liz Zych; and Pool Golf Closest to the Pin: Lindsey Scheinert. Ralph and Kathy Sangiovanni joined the group for the cocktail hour and an Italian dinner. Desserts included root beer floats, sundaes, brownies, turtles, and chocolate cake. After dinner Karlo provided wonderful dance music.
On Sunday, the fun weekend ended with breakfast under the tent at the marina and all sailed home.
