Labor Day Fleet-In
Fourteen boats joined us at RPYC for a Labor-less Day Weekend.  Though the day was dreary and clouds surrounded us, we still managed to find each other.  Not in the pool of course, (weather you know) but in the bar.  Big surprise!

We gathered for cocktails at the appointed hour and the bar quickly became a buzz of conversation and camaraderie.  Following cocktails we continued to enjoyed Pub night and the sounds of Sea Breeze who had many of us on the dance floor.

Saturday morning began with a breakfast buffet that Jason prepared that was worthy of just one word….marvelous.  Truly, he is doing a fabulous job with juggling so many hats.   Kudos to Jason!
Labor Day Fleet-In ( cont )
Karen handed out puzzles to groups of four and you could almost smell the brains baking trying to be the first to solve and be the winners.  No prizes were awarded.  As cruise leaders, we felt this was just an early morning mind exercise.  In the afternoon we gathered to watch the movie Failure to Launch.  It had a bit of trouble with failure to STAY launched.  It was agreed by all that it was a very cute flick.

Pets played a part in our weekend with the VERY energetic Abby and the smooth even keeled Rudy.  Both were fun to be around, leaks and all!

Saturday evening again commenced in the bar and our Fleet-In was joined by many other fellow RPYC’ers.  When you are offered a Prime Rib dinner at “buy one get one for a penny”, you’ve got a sweet deal.  And it was.  The entertainment was new for us and Soli and Andre did not disappoint.  After a technical problem, they WOWED our large gathering and had most of us on the dance floor.  They are a gem to treasure in the future.

Sunday morning we were happy to enjoy a continental breakfast on the deck.  Jim, our dock master, is also doing a wonderful job in making things for the boaters so effortless.

The afternoon was warm and sunny and most of us took advantage of “our” pool.  Many of us chose to stay another night and combine our culinary charms,

The entire weekend was great in all regards and we’ll look forward to the next adventure.
