The
Picnic
Cruisers
began
their
cruise
at
Tampa
Bay
Yacht
and
Country
Club,
while
the
Leftover
Cruisers
began
theirs
at
St.
Petersburg
Yacht
Club.
Besides
biking
and
enjoying
the
amenities
at
both
clubs,
the
2
groups,
and
Pam
and
Chet
Blackford
met
at
Busch
Gardens
to
enjoy
a
great
evening
at
Howl-O-Scream.
Everyone
enjoyed
the
dinner
show,
rides,
and
haunted
houses.
When
the
Picnic
cruisers
left
Tampa,
they
went
to
St.
Pete,
and
when
the
Leftover
cruisers
left
St.
Pete,
they
went
to
Tampa.
It
was
great
to
pass
each
other
on
Tampa
Bay!
When
the
Picnic
Cruisers
got
to
St.
Pete,
there
was
a
treasure
chest
with
booty
and
pirate
messages
in
bottles
from
the
Leftovers.
Two
days
later,
both
groups
left
Tampa
and
St.
Pete
and
met
at
The
Moorings
at
Longboat
Key
Club
where
Karen
and
Bob
Thomas
joined
the
fun,
and
all
enjoyed
the
resort,
restaurants,
pool,
and
surrounding
areas
for
biking.
Before
leaving
The
Moorings,
a
bocce
tournament
was
held
with
the
girls
against
the
guys
(girls
won
of
course!),
and
cruise
leaders
prepared
a
real
picnic
of
hamburgers
and
hot
dogs,
along
with
side
dishes
for
everyone
on
the
2
cruises.
At
the
picnic,
the
Picnic
cruisers
returned
the
treasure
chest
to
the
Leftovers
with
new
booty
to
trade.
Although
some
cruisers
planned
to
stop
at
Captiva
and
Tween
Waters
before
heading
home,
the
predicted
cold
front
and
rain
changed
most
minds,
and
some
headed
home,
while
others
headed
to
Royal
Palm
for
Sunday’s
Fleet
Review.
It
was
another
great
Royal
Palm
cruise
for
all,
and
a
creative
way
to
accommodate
a
cruise
waiting
list!
