7
boats
and
16
club
members
made
their
way
to
Cape
Harbor
on
Friday
afternoon
for
another
enjoyable
get-together.
Our
plans
to
dine
together
at a
small
local
restaurant
had
to
be
changed
suddenly
due
to
the
restaurant's
licensing
problems
with
the
city.
Instead
we
took
advantage
of
grills
provided
by
Cape
Harbour
and
enjoyed
grilled
meats
along
with
side
dishes
provided
by
the
members.
The
evenings
and
mornings
were
very
brisk
to
say
the
least,
but
the
temperatures
did
not
stop
our
intrepid
group
of
boaters!
Bloody
Marys
and
Mimosas
probably
did
not
hurt
either.
One
highlight
of
the
weekend
was
the
celebration
of
Charlie
Munsch's
(?)
birthday.
He
was
serenaded
and
presented
with
a
Happy
Birthday
Cinnamon
roll
with
one
candle.
A
few
members
of
our
group
made
it
to
downtown
Cape
Coral
for
the
Art
Festival.
Saturday
was
a
big
football
playoff
day
and
thanks
to
Dick
deStafano's
and
Tom
Laskey's
creativeness,
a
television
antennae
was
fashioned
from
a
coat
hanger
with
Tom
providing
a
small
TV.
After
a
supper
of
homemade
chili
and
soup,
with
all
kinds
of
additional
goodies,
we
gathered
in
the
covered
Gazebo
to
cheer
on
our
favorite
teams.
It
was
still
quite
cold
inside,
but
at
least
we
were
protected
from
the
wind.
Huddled
in
coats
and
stadium
blankets
we
still
managed
to
have
a
great
time
cheering
or
perhaps
grumbling
about
the
games.
With
plenty
of
food
and
our
favorite
beverages,
we
were
ready
for
anything.
I
admit
that
a
few
of
us
had
to
sneak
off
to
find
warmer
conditions,
but
some
hardier
types
stayed
until
half
time
of
the
second
game-then
they
too
had
to
call
it
quits.!!!!
All
in
all,
wehad
a
great
time
visiting,
laughing
and
just
enjoying
each
other.
