Last summer, the RPYC Photo Club decided it would be nice to have an exhibit of not only their efforts, but that of any other photographers in the club. Over the months, as the show came together, we honed our techniques, shared information on enlarging and printing sources and publicized an event that would be not only a photo exhibit, but a
special evening of entertainment for all club members.

Thanks
to
Tom and
Kathy
Buckard
many
of
us
learned
the
tricky
art
of
dry
mounting our
photos
to
enhance
their
presentation.
On
Saturday,
January
17,
16
RPYC
photographers
(including
a
few
family
members
and
a
friend),
displayed
their
work
during
the
"Hot
Shots
and
Smooth
Sounds"
evening.
The
evening's
attendees
were
given
ballots
to
vote
for
their
favorite
photos
in 9
categories,
and
also
Best
in
Show.
There
were
91
photos
in
all,
and
they
were
difficult
choices,
to
say
the
least.

BEST

vote
was
for
"I

by
Kathy
Buckard,
although
one
voter
said
it
best:
"They
are
all
TERRIFIC!"
The
evening
continued
with
an
elegant
dinner
and
listening
and
dancing
to
the
sounds
of
Skip
Haynes'
and
Woody
Brubaker's
Dueling
Sax

Our
new

was
the
perfect
setting
and
everyone
had
a
great
time!
