“Carrots
and Carats”
was the
theme for
the July
summer
gathering
for ladies
of Royal
Palm Yacht
Club.
Graciously
hosted by
Commodore’s
Mate Elaine
Tynus
Slaughter,
with Melody,
Jessica and
Matthew Zang
at the
Raffle Table
and Mary
Anne Merrill
at the
Reception
Table, it
was a
terrific
opportunity
to catch up
with
friends.
Representatives
from
Dunkin’s
Diamonds of
Fort Myers
brought an
extensive
display of
the latest
diamond
jewelry and
settings,
and made a
presentation
on an
innovative
cut of
diamond.
After seeing
the sparkle
of a
one-carat
“rock” with
a new type
of cut
called
“Hearts on
Fire,” it
was hard not
to wish for
one! Then
our very own
Kemorr
Condappa
demonstrated
how he
magically
transforms
lowly fruits
and
vegetables
into
fanciful
bouquets and
sea
creatures.
Seeing the
wonderful
arrangements,
we all vowed
to go home
and try his
carving
techniques
on our
potatoes,
carrots and
beets for
dinner...RIGHT!
Kemorr was
assisted by
Food &
Beverage
Manager
Jason
Little, who
gave us
additional
tips on
preparing
decorative
foods. The
luncheon
concluded
with two
happy
winners of
the 50-50
drawing.
