The RPYC Royal Adventurers experienced
spectacular entertainment at the club
with “An Evening of Opera” on Wednesday,
November 14, 2007. Sixty members heard
talented professional performers who
also are department heads of FGCU’s
Bower School of Music. An elegant
gourmet dinner preceded the program, and
while we enjoyed port and coffee, we
heard well-polished selections from
operas in all languages. Soloists were
Robert Beane, Kathryn Moffett, Jeannie
Darnell, and the FGCU Chamber Singers,
directed by Nancy Cobb-Lippens. The
masterful piano accompanist was Shirley
Roe.
Pamela Simon did a wonderful job as
Adventure Leader for the program, from
working with the performers to arranging
the table decor and programs.
