Royal Adventures Sarasota Opera Trip

Fifty-two Royal Adventurers enjoyed
what has become an annual Adventure
to a matinee at the Sarasota Opera.
Coffee and donuts (and more potent
brews) greeted us at RPYC at 9:00
a.m., and then we boarded a coach
for an uneventful ride to Sarasota
Yacht Club for lunch. It was only a
short ride to Sarasota's gem of an
Opera House, newly renovated, for a
spectacular performance of
Rigoletto.
We enjoyed the three acts of drama,
bawdy at times, and
left mourning the tragic death of
the innocent heroine. Adventure
leaders Dick and Linda Devlin
made sure everyone enjoyed the day.
Keeping everyone well-hydrated were
assistants Ernie Fogg, and Chuck and
Carol Fuechsel.
