"On a beautiful Monday morning, Nov 8th, Joan Wendel led 22 of us to the port of Miami for a 5 day cruise on the Celebrity Century. She also arranged for a new bus company that we have never used before that had side "bench" seats along with a flat screen TV! Of course, we had refreshments and a few Bloody Marys for the "long" trip to the other side. In fact, this bus picked up everyone at the club, dropped us off at the ship, picked us up at this ship and brought us back to the club. How easy can it be?
After one day at sea, our ship arrived at Roatan for "shopping and touring" and the next day to Cozumel for more "shopping and touring" and we all had a great time on shore. To make for camaraderie Joan arranged for 3 tables next to each other in the dining room so that our RA group could all sit together. The meal selections were incredible (some of us even had Escargot every night) and the service was impeccable. Of course, there were the usual ship's shows with the dancers, singers etc. Then some of us discovered "Michael's Lounge" which was reminiscent of Chicago and New York from the "old days" and the piano player was from Indiana and could play any song that we requested! We'll all miss that one.
Did everyone have a good time? You betcha! Do we want Joan to run another cruise? You betcha!
However, sorry to say that we did have one complaint as one member said that he/she had gained 5 pounds!
