How do I sign up for
Adventures?
It’s
easy to sign up! 1) send your deposit
check to the Adventure Leader;
or
2) drop off your check at RPYC
Reception;
or
3) bring your check to the monthly Royal
Adventurers meeting. Don’t wait
and be disappointed! Your
check for the deposit or full amount
will guarantee your place. Checks
must be made out to "Royal Adventurers."
Please indicate the name of the
Adventure on the check.

8, Wed. FLORIDA REPERTORY
THEATRE “Bedroom Farce” by Alan
Ayckbourn – Carol Market and
Cathy Gleason, leader. A
wickedly funny comedy from
England’s favourite playwright!
Sometimes marital discord can be
fun .. as long as it’s someone
else’s. We will meet at RPYC at
5:30PM for cocktails and a light
dinner, after dinner we will
carpool to the theatre for the
show which begins at 8PM.Only 24
tickets available. Cost per
person: $37pp (includes $2 for
RA Fund) Make check payable to

ARTISTS’ RECOGNITION DINNER - SW
Florida Symphony Education
Committee – Carol Edmier,
leader. The Symphony Society
hosts the Young Artists’
Recognition Dinner each year so
the public might be able to meet
and hear winners of their two
competitions in keyboard,
strings, brass, woodwinds and
vocal. The winners will perform
at the dinner. This years’
dinner is at the Helm Club at
The Landings, 5:30 PM. Cost is
$35.00 per person with cash bar.

Feb. 20, Mon. TOUR OF LEE
COUNTY MOSQUITO CONTROL – Marvin
McMahon, leader . Guided tour to
begin at 10 AM of the equipment
and facilities which comprise
the operations of the Lee County
Mosquito Control District
located at the historic
Buckingham Army Air Field in
Lehigh Acres. No cost for tour
and we will carpool from RPYC.

March 2, Fri. New on
schedule! – “FL CRACKER COUNTRY
BBQ” at Rialto Harbor, Alva,
Florida Marv & Carol Market with
Tom & Lynn Laskey. Catch a ride
with one of our RPYC boaters for
a cruise upriver on Friday
morning to join in on a
delightful afternoon. Once we
arrive we plan to have a BBQ
under the majestic Spanish
moss-draped oaks on the grounds
of Rialto Harbor Marina nestled
in a lush, tropical setting
located on an oxbow of the
Caloosahatchee River and
experience a bit of old Florida
as it once was. Sign-up sheet
will be available at RA and
Cruisers meetings or email Carol

OPERA EXCURSION “Carmen” – Marv
& Joan McMahon, leaders. 2

$140.00pp Deluxe motor coach
with bloody marys and mimosas
enroute to the historic Sarasota
Opera House in downtown
Sarasota. Before the performance
we will enjoy a pre fixe lunch
(own expense) at Amici’s located
a short walk from the Opera
House. Light refreshments and
wine will be available on the
bus back to RPYC. Total cost for
this event (or the balance of
$45 pp if deposit was made) is
now due or deposit will be

April 3, Tues. Note New
Date CALUSA HERITAGE TRAIL
EXPEDIATION AND CRUISE – Lael
and Char Mathis, leaders. Visit
to Randell Research Center
located on Pine Island for a
guided tour of the Calusa
Heritage Trail - a program of
the Florida Museum of Natural
History dedicated to the
archeology, history and ecology
of Southwest Florida and the
Calusa people. After lunch (cost
included) at the waterfront
Tarpon Lodge we will board the
Tropic Star for an up-close
narrated tour of beautiful Pine
Island Sound. Meet in parking
lot of Randell Research Center
for the 10:00 AM tour. Boal
departs from the Tarpon Lodge
dock after lunch for the 1-1/2
hour boat tour. Cost per person
is $55.00 and includes lunch,
museum and boat tour. Make
checks payable to RA and mail to

ANNUAL” STRINGS @ SUNSET”
“Scandal in Paris” – Muriel &
Gabe Freedman, leaders. Mark
your calendars now! Another Gala
evening of fine, epicurean
dining and fantastic live
musical performances featuring
the compositions of Frederick
Chopin during his “notorious
affair” with George Sands is now
in the final planning stages for
this spring. Do not miss this
evening as it promises to be an
extra special event with music
from the SW FL Symphony
Orchestra with Maestro Michael
Hall, piano, Rachael Cox, violin
and Scott Crowley, cello. This
event is limited to a maximum of
60 persons and sells out very
quickly. Deposit of $25.00 pp
secures your reservation. Please
make checks payable to RA and
mail to Muriel Freedman. Note:
Dinner and drinks will be billed
to your individual member
account.
April 18 and 19, Wed./Thurs.
- ‘Tween Waters Inn & Resort,
Captiva Island -Bob Minahan,
leader. RPYC Cruising group will
be spending 2 nights at the
‘Tween Waters Inn and Resort on
Captiva Island. Our members are
invited to join the group either
overnight at the Inn or for
dinner at the Captiva Yacht
Club. Rooms are available at the
Resort Inn or at Jensens.
