Last Friday almost 70 Royal Palm cruise leaders and the Cruise Committee gathered in the Bridge Room to receive the cruisers’ thanks for a job well done in leading a record number of cruises and events this year.  Jason and his staff prepared a wonderful array of hor d’oeuvres which were enjoyed by all.  Chris and Len Burger received the “Boater of the Year” award, which was a specially-prepared burgee with a Royal Palm flag inscribed “Boater of the Year”.  The FCYC award was presented to Shirley and Ed Hatter, and the “Atta Boy” award was presented by Marv Market to Lynn and Tom Laskey inabsentia. Carl Natale was recognized for his hard work as Parade Marshall for the Fleet Review. The highlight of the evening was the “- - - - - -  tee shirt”, presented to Rich Geib for outstanding achievements on the water.  Congratulations to all of these recipients and especially to Rich Geib, who wore his new possession with grace and dignity.  All in all, it was a fun-filled evening.
